Is it really free?
Yes. Build and preview an invoice with no account at all, and create a free account when you want to download the PDF. A free account includes 3 invoices and 3 quotes every month, no card needed. Free-plan documents carry a small Generated with DocMason.Ai footer; Pro at 9.99 GBP a month a person removes it and makes invoices unlimited.
Do I need an account to try it?
No. The editor opens straight away and you can build the whole invoice first. You only create a free account at the end, to download the PDF - and your invoice, design and logo come with you.
How does it handle UK VAT?
Say it how you'd say it: add VAT at 20 percent, or 2400 including VAT. If the price includes VAT, the net and VAT are derived so the totals match exactly what you quoted. Rates of 0, 5 and 20 percent are supported.
Does the AI do the maths?
No, and that is deliberate. The AI reads what you type; plain deterministic code computes every total in exact pence. An AI never rounds your money.
Can I add my logo and bank details?
Yes. Drop your logo anywhere on the editor, pick a brand colour and font, and save your bank details (sort code, account number, IBAN) once - they print on every invoice so customers know how to pay you.
Is my data safe?
Everything is hosted in the EU, anonymous uploads are deleted after 24 hours, and your files are never used to train AI. DocMason is built by Cynical Software Ltd, a UK registered company.
Can it chase unpaid invoices for me?
Yes - QuoteChaser, included with the Pro plan, follows up unpaid invoices automatically: a gentle nudge one day after the due date and a firmer (still courteous) reminder a week later, then it stops. It never threatens late fees or legal action - that is your call, not an AI's - and the moment you mark the invoice paid, the chase ends.

You. Reminders go out under your business name with reply-to set to your email, so answers land in your inbox like any other reply, and every email that went out is readable word for word on your activity page.
