Who we are

What happens to files you upload

Files you upload (such as bank statements) are stored in EU-hosted infrastructure and processed to provide the service you asked for: extracting transactions, generating documents or identifying personal data for redaction.

Files uploaded without an account are automatically and permanently deleted within 24 hours. This deletion runs hourly and is not optional.

Files in an account are kept so you can access your documents, and are deleted when you delete them or your account.

AI processing

We use AI (Anthropic's Claude models) to read documents and draft invoices and quotes. Content you submit is sent to the AI provider to perform that processing.

Your files and data are never used to train AI models, by us or by our provider under our agreement with them.

AI extracts information; all financial calculations (totals, VAT, reconciliation) are performed by conventional software, and statement conversions are checked against the printed balances.

Account data

When you create an account we store your email address, your business details as you enter them, and the documents and customers you save. We use this solely to provide the service.

We use privacy-respecting product analytics to understand how the service is used, and error monitoring to fix problems.

Where your data lives

Application data is hosted in the EU. We do not sell your data. We share it only with the processors needed to run the service (hosting, AI processing, email delivery and payments), each under their own data processing terms.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing hello@docmason.ai. Deleting your account removes your stored documents and data.
