Delete your account

You can do it yourself

Deleting your account takes effect straight away and does not need an email to us. There are two places to do it.

• In the FullDiary app: open Settings, then under Account choose Delete your account, and confirm.
• On the website: sign in, open Settings, then Your account, and under Delete your account type DELETE and confirm.

What is removed

Your login, your name and your email address, immediately. Every business on your account loses you as a member, and any phone registered for notifications is forgotten. If you had a staff login to someone else's business, that login is removed; the business keeps its own record of you as a person on the rota, which is their data, not ours.

What is kept, and why

A business that only you own is closed and hidden, not destroyed. Its invoices and quotes are financial records, which UK tax law requires us to keep for six years, and its bookings, customers, forms and messages stay with it for the same period, out of sight. Nothing in a closed business is used for anything. A business with another owner carries on without you, with everything in it.

One thing to do first

If a business only you own is on a paid plan, cancel the plan first (Settings, then Plan, then Manage or cancel plan). Deleting the account refuses until then, so that nobody is billed for a business they can no longer see.
